Problem: When registering SPF I receive a message that I am not connected to the Internet
Cause: N/A
Solution: First of all, make sure you are running Internet Explore 4.0 or higher. If you are not you will need to update your version of Internet Explorer. Next you should make sure that all other security software programs are turned off or uninstalled.
If you are running another firewall software, make sure it is completely uninstalled. Try registering Sygate® Personal Firewall again. If you still are having problems, uninstall Sygate® Personal Firewall and reboot. Once your computer is booted, click the Start button, go to Run and type in "regedit". Locate the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Sygate Technologies, Inc.
Delete this key. Once that is done, reinstall Sygate® Personal Firewall and try registering it again.
