Eudora security

Eudora is a nice emailprogram, not pressing too hard on the system resources. It's not free, though there are 'free' versions. Paid mode—This mode provides the full-feature Eudora desktop email client without advertising. Sponsored mode—This mode provides the full-featured Eudora desktop email client at no charge, supported by sponsors' advertising. It includes all of the features that are in the Paid mode except for SpamWatch. And Light mode—This is an upgrade to the freeware version formerly known as Eudora Light. It includes fewer features than the other modes and may include a sponsor image or logo.

As you can read only the 'full' version includes spamwatch. A nifty feature which not only filters quite an ammount of spam but also protects you against phishing by flagging supspicious emails.

Since by default all settings in Eudora are set as they should be there's not really anything more to tell except to point out the seucirty of Eudora by presenting an overview of found exploits, the severity and how many are still unpatched.

There are currently 6 holes reported in Eudora, all patched except one hole with no risk at all and one rated minimum risk.
