Configuring Netscape Browser
Note: when installing the browser click the 'advanced settings' button and uncheck the 'anonymous user statistics' button.
Note2: Don't install the weather Channel feature, this program contains AdWare
- Start Netscape Browser, verify only one instance is running.
- Goto tools->options->site controls
- Here you can change so-called trust and distrusted sites.
- Select 'I trust this site' It's a good idea to check the following options: 'open requested pop-ups in a new tab', 'allow images to be displayed' (from originating site only), 'allow cookies' (from originating site only), 'enable javascript'(advanced->change images).
- Disable java as wel as activex (activexoption only works on ie-compatible sites). Of you experience any problems you can try turning on java and/or activex but only fot that specific site.
- Repeat step 4 and 5 for untrusted sites and sites you're not sure about, you can modify these options alter when necessary
- Next, goto ->advanced->validation Check 'Use OSCP to validate only certificates that specifie an OSCP-url'
- Choose ->ok
- Restart your browser
