Tauscan Problems
Problem:
I uninstalled Tauscan, but still see its pop-up message on startup
Cause: You incorrectly uninstalled the program
Solution:
- Click on the Windows Start button and select "Run".
- Type "regedit.exe" in Application field and click OK.
- In the Registry viewer delete the following folder: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Agnitum\TAU
- Delete the 'Tau Monitor' key in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Problem:
Tauscan can't remove a Trojan from the 'Restore' folder under Win ME
Cause:
Windows uses the Restore folder for back ups. After some time, Windows
deletes the files from the RESTORE folder. Windows protects the files
in this folder from being deleted.
Not to worry ? a Trojan cannot run from the Restore folder. It is
simply stored on your hard disk doing nothing.
You might try contacting Microsoft and asking if it is possible to
delete files manually from the RESTORE folder of Win ME.

Problem:
"Failed to open C:\hiberfil.sys"
Cause:
Windows protects users from accessing this system file from any
application. But, no need to be concerned-a Trojan cannot be in this
file
